E-mail client setup
- Mozilla Thunderbird

Microsoft Outlook 2000
Internet-Only Mode
- If Outlook is closed, go to Start[->Settings]->Control Panel->[E-]Mail
If it's open, Click the Tools menu, then click Accounts... Screen shot - Click Add->Mail... Screen shot
- Enter your name as you'd like it to appear on messages. Screen shot
- Next, Enter the E-mail address given to you. Screen shot
- Next, Enter the following information: Screen shot
- Choose POP3 for the server type.
- Enter mail.renegadetech.com for both the incoming and outgoing mail servers
- Next, enter: Screen shot
- Your full E-mail address for Account name.
- If you wish to save your password, enter it and check the box.
- Make sure 'Log on using Secure Password Authentication' is not checked.
- Next, if you see a connection type screen, choose the appropriate option for your system (usually LAN.)
- Click Finish. Screen shot
- Select the new account and click Properties. Screen shot
- Click the Servers tab and check My server requires authentication under 'Outgoing Mail Server' at the bottom. Screen shot
(You can click Settings and make sure it's using the same settings as the incoming server.) - Click the Advanced tab: Screen shot
- Enter 587 for the SMTP port
- Be sure the POP3 port is 110.
- Click OK, then Close
- (Re)start Outlook and click Send/Receive to check for new messages.
Corporate/Workgroup Mode
- If Outlook is closed, go to Start[->Settings]->Control Panel->[E-]Mail

- Choose Internet E-Mail & click OK. Screen shot
- On the General tab: Screen shot
- Enter a name for this account for your reference, such as "Renegade Tech"
- Enter your name as you'd like it to appear on messages.
- Enter your organization name if applicable.
- Enter the E-mail address given to you.
- Click the Servers tab: Screen shot
- Enter mail.renegadetech.com for both the Incoming and Outgoing servers.
- Enter your full E-mail address for Account name.
- If you wish to save your password, enter it and check the box.
- Make sure Secure Password Authentication is not checked.
- Under Outgoing Mail Server, check My server requires authentication.
(You can click Settings and make sure it's using the same settings as the incoming server.)
- Click the Advanced tab: Screen shot
- Enter 587 for the SMTP port

- Click OK, then OK again.
- (Re)start Outlook (restart with Exit and Log Off) and your new account will be displayed. Click on the Inbox to check for messages.
